Frequently asked questions

When should I contact you to set up a session?

The earlier the better! Most mom's will reach out while they are pregnant and then I pencil you in based on your estimated due date.

Reaching out after the baby is born is still okay though! If I have availability I will do my best to work you into my schedule!

How does the process work? We don't really know when the baby will actually come!

Initially we will pencil in your session based on your estimated due date. Once your baby has been born, I ask that I be one of the first people you tell and then we will schedule the actual session date.

What’s the best time to have a session with a newborn?

Ideally, we schedule your session between 10-20 days after birth but we can certainly work outside that range if we need to!

Do I need to bring anything for my baby to wear?

Nope! I have everything we need so that you have a gorgeous session! I provide all the wraps, blankets, outfits, hats and bonnets, headbands etc. My photography style is natural and simple. I prefer not to over-accessorise so that we keep your baby the center of attention.

How long is a newborn session?

Typically newborn sessions last between 2-3 hours but we won't be taking pictures the whole time! This time frame allows for time as needed for feeding, soothing, diaper changes etc. during the session. This is a 100% baby led session so you will not be rushed.

Can siblings and parents be photographed?

Yes! And I encourage it! Photographs including parents and/or siblings become some of my favorites! I simply ask that you bring items to keep siblings entertained (snacks, toys, extra screen time) to help ensure a relaxed and calm environment for your session.
